HAT (Helen’s Auction Team) is so named and dedicated to my mother, Helen, who inspired me as a teenager to enjoy auctions, estate and garage sales. My education on auctions is from the Missouri Auction School. I moved both of my parents and sister here, and I could not see my dream at that time. Then I attended the refresher course in auctioneering at Miami Dade College where Joyce who is my friend and was my instructor inspired me again. Besides the knowledge of auctioneering, Joyce instilled in us the importance of being professional and ethical in this business. This was my mother’s motto her whole life, and she lived by this as an antique dealer with her own business.
